About Us

In 1975, John Pappas came to the United States leaving his hometown of Tragano, Greece. With barely any money in his pocket and knowing very little of the English language, yet he was still determined to make a better life for his family. Working in restaurants, he slowly discovered a passion for cooking and creating authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Many of his own recipes have become famous, including his widely popular "Pappas Greek Dressing".

Today, John Pappas is a successful restauranteur that is passing on the tradition and qualities of authentic Greek food to his son, Nicholas. Nicholas Pappas has always wanted to take his father's success to the next level. That next step would be the creation of Greek City Café. Fast Casual Greek cusine is still relatively unknown in the south eastern United States, but Nicholas hopes that his new concept will change that. Incorporating his father's famous recipes, along with an healthier approach to Greek cuisine, makes Greek City Café the next best place to eat!
